This past December, President Donald Trump signed the National Defense Authorization Act,  formally creating the Space Force, a sixth branch of the U.S. military dedicated to defense of the country\u2019s assets and interests in outer space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHistory proves that peace only comes through strength,\u201d Vice President Mike Pence said of the new branch in 2018. \u201cAnd in the realm of outer space, the United States Space Force will be that strength.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The administration took a big, or at least visible, step toward making that a reality on Friday, when it released the logo and branding for the new department. After all, what\u2019s a business without a brand?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
